Coffee vs Tea? Uh, this is the most difficult comparison between any two drinks. Worldwide, there are billions of people who drink coffee or tea daily.

Few popular verities of coffee are Espresso, Latte, Cappuccino etc and if verity in tea is considered, there are Black tea, Green tea, Ginger tea, tea with milk and the list goes on…

One interesting fact about Black tea and Green tea is that both of them come from the same plant Camellia Sinensis. The only difference is that black tea is processed one. Black tea improves blood vessel functions and anti-oxidants e.g. Thearubigins, Epicatechins, Catechins in the human body.

Coffee vs Tea:

Few studies confirmed that tea decreases the chances of heart diseases and cancer, whereas coffee might be helpful in reducing the risk for diabetes. You might have observed a tea house where one can feel relaxed and calm but in a coffee house, everything seems rushed and anxious. According to dentists, Tea has a higher ability to stain the teeth than coffee.

Few health specialists tell; tea is even better than water because tea gives anti-oxidants extra. Among tea verities, Green tea is the popular type which is consumed for losing weight. Caffeine in coffee can give muscle mass. This is why, guys who go to the gym, prefer caffeine for intensive workouts.

Caffeine (coffee) can stimulate chemicals, hormones in the body and also stimulates blood pressure and heart rate. It has been seen that Coffee drinkers are less stressful than Tea drinkers. Coffee with sugar (caffeine + glucose) can boost brain power. Drinking coffee daily makes the immune system stronger, so there is every chance that people can be healthier. Coffee also improves liver, heart, digestive system and memory (obviously short term) in the human body.

Tea is the most consumed drink in the world. Coffee is the tough competitor with around 2.25 billion cups consumed every day.

Tea provides calmness, spirituality and solid health to tea drinkers. Often, tea contains 0 calories without sugar and milk. Tea is one of the ancient drinks invented around 5000 to 6000 years back. One can have 3 to 4 cups of tea daily, but not coffee.

Never drink any of these in empty stomach. Consuming coffee or tea in the empty stomach does the exact opposite as mentioned above.

Per serving of 100g of coffee and tea, coffee contains around 40mg of caffeine and tea contains around 20mg. Our body does not need this much caffeine. Consuming excess coffee can be injurious to health.

Health specialists have confirmed that Black tea is better than coffee.
In conclusion, one can have one cup of coffee along with 2 – 3 cups of tea daily for a healthier life and none of these drinks should be taken in empty stomach.

Personally, I was neither a tea drinker nor a coffee drinker. But after doing a lot of research to write this article, I am tempted to have both of these drinks, in fact, started. 🙂
